Christmas 2008

It has taken me forever to post this! We have been out of town for over 2 weeks now, and we are FINALLY home! So here is our Christmas 2008! (Be warned that this post is going to be VERY long...and also be warned that my belly is getting VERY big and is growing bigger by the minute...YIKES!)

We started off the weekend before Christmas up in Snowflake for a quick visit with the Brimhalls. Ricky and Kari and their kids came up from Texas for Christmas and we couldn't wait to see them! It was so nice to have all of the family together! We relaxed, ate good food, visited family, and had our family Christmas gift exchange.

We also had a surprise visit from none other than Santa Claus himself! (aka...Randy) :) The kids were terrified to sit on his lap, as you can tell by the pictures...

Whose belly do you think looks bigger?? (Please say Santa's!)

Santa brought gifts for everyone...PJ's for the girls, and PJ's for the boys :)

Then on Monday it was off to California for Christmas with my family! We spent two days and one night in a hotel in the city, right in the middle of Union Square. It was heaven! We could wake up, walk downstairs to Starbucks for a hot cocoa, and then walk down the streets, shopping all the great Christmas Eve sales at Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, Macys, Barneys, blah blah blah...it is all a blur to me now...all I know is we could barely carry all of our bags!

We then spent Christmas day at my parents house, opening presents, eating ridiculously yummy food, sitting next to the warm fire, and counting down the hours until we got the phone call from my brother Tanner on his mission in Mexico City! We all were able to gather around the speaker phone and talk to him for 2 hours! It was so nice to hear his voice (and his mexican accent!) He sounded so happy and was cracking us up with his jokes and crazy stories! :) It was definitely the highlight of everyone's Christmas day! And Boston was able to thank his Uncle Tanner over the phone for the adorable baby poncho he sent him for Christmas :)

We spent the rest of our week relaxing by the warm fire...

...visiting with cousins grandparents and aunts and uncles...

...hanging out with Boston, who we could NOT get enough of (which just made Randy and I even MORE excited that we are having a BOY!)...

...AND shopping even MORE! I am pretty sure my mom took me to just about every single baby store in the freaking bay area...and I loved every minute of it! Our baby is going to be one spoiled little man...but more on that later...

When we got home from Cali, it was back up to Snowflake to spend New Years Eve up there with these little guys...

...and once again, we had a great time!

I LOVE this time of year and LOVE spending the holidays with family, making wonderful memories! Cheers to a NEW YEAR, 2009, the year that I officially become a NEW MOMMY and have a little baby to place in this cradle next to my bed...

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR! XOXO

I'm so glad to see your little belly! It's going by fast, before you know it you will have your little boy in your arms. I was hoping to see your little belly at Natalie and Chelsea's party, but I guess you were all over California and the White Mountains with holiday travels.
The cradle is way too cute!
