So, I realize that Madden turned 1 a week ago...
And that this is like the 4th post I am doing about the fact that my child just turned 1...
And that you're probably all getting really sick of it...
But I just couldn't move onto other blogging topics until I did
one more post
documenting some of my fave things about Madden at this age
and including some of these delicious pictures my dear friend Annalisa took of him

Still cruising all over the furniture
Still loves his walker toy and can now easily pull himself up to standing position on it by himself
Loves to run all over the house pushing his walker toy, screaming at the top of his lungs
Is obsessed with opening and closing doors and cabinets
Still sleeping 10-12 hours through the night
Still a really good napper, taking two 2-hour naps every day
Loves bath time and splashes so much that I look like a took a bath with him in my clothes when its all over
Loves the swings at the park
Loves to be outside
Loves playing catch
Loves to cuddle up on our shoulder for a few minutes when he first wakes up (one of my favorite things!)
Is starting to throw tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants
Has become more wary of strangers and is extremely shy
Still loves his morning PBS cartoons...but is afraid of Barney (thankfully...as I am too!)
Will eat anything and everything...especially if he sees Mommy and Daddy eating it
Is still obsessed with soda cans...and the deliciousness inside of them :)
Has 4 teeth...and lots more pushing through
Hates having his teeth brushed
Will not last more than 10 minutes in sacrament meeting
Loves when Daddy chases him
Is freakishly obsessed with our toes and tries to eat them anytime we are barefoot
Is sort-of a Mama's Boy ;) (and I sort-of love it)
Loves getting into the kitchen cupboards and making messes
Claps his hands all the time...cutest thing ever!
Can wave bye-bye
Can say "Mama" "Dada" "ba ba" and "No no!"
Has the longest baby eyelashes I have ever seen
and the sweetest, most innocent smile...
love this little boy!

wow he is a year!!! How time flies! He is so cute in those pics. he deserves lots of posts...turning one is a BIG deal. His party looks great!
Wow - Tiff as you described his new personality traits I realize he is more and more like you were as a baby - fabulous sleeper, a Mama's girl, kind of shy, loves to have Daddy chase her (remember playing the log game with your Dad?) and of course the long long eye lashes. How fun for me to see so much of you in him. The 1 year pictures are absolutely adorable!
I am just getting caught up on your blogs....looks like your road trip was a lot of fun and your birthday party..what a cute idea! ;) I can't believe Madden is 1. Wow, time flies!! I heard you are going to AZ next week. Have fun, sad I will miss you. Take care! Miss you!

Ha ha. John look who his dad is. Being tough is in his blood....!
I aint buying it....but I'm willing to wait and see. So far all I've seen is that Naomi kicked his cute little ass. So if your only plan is to say "look at his dad" that gives us all cause for concern.
