Since I was in Chicago on Randy's birthday AND my birthday, we had to do some make-up celebrating.
In our family, any and every celebration begins with what we like to call "Party Night"
Which means, our fave local pizza joint, a QT run, and a redbox movie.
Luckily, our new fave local pizza joint just happened to have a beautiful view that night...the sun setting in the distance behind the Gilbert temple...perfect start to our b-day weekend celebration :)
Randy got a day off from work and was able to spend a 3-day weekend with us.
We made a family trip to the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium followed by lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.
Cuz there's nothing like eating some delicious seafood after watching the beautiful sea life swim around in tanks, right?? ;)
That night, Uncle Tanner and Aunt Josie watched Madden for us while Randy and I snuck away for a romantic evening out.
We got all dressed up and drove out to Scottsdale to try a new place neither of us had been to called NoRTH.
It was amazing decor, amazing service and amazing food!
Loved it!
They even brought a teeny tiny pink birthday candle out for me and a teeny tiny blue birthday candle out for Randy
And a free dessert...nutella crepes.
They were TO DIE FOR!
We practically licked the plate clean!
The next morning we cheered on Madden at his soccer game and after his game, we went out for breakfast burritos.
And then as if allllll of that celebrating and eating out wasn't enough, we had one last birthday dinner at Benihanas.
This has become a yearly tradition for our birthdays.
If you sign up for their birthday e mail list, you get a $30 coupon!
And lucky for Randy and I, our birthdays just happen to fall in the same month, so we both get a coupon and end up getting a delicious $60 meal for FREE!
Best birthday tradition ever!
Its always sad when birthday celebrations come to an end...
I'm already thinking of what we fun things we are gonna do for Randy's 30th next year... ;)
