A few days into fall break, Madden came down with a yucky virus and we had to cancel our fun fall break plans with friends :(
so instead, we made target runs in our pi's for medicine, sugar cookie ingredients and new halloween jammies.
It gave us a good excuse to stay inside, hanging out in our jammies all day, decorating sugar cookies and watching Halloween movies.
Then when Madden was finally feeling better, we met up with friends and checked out some cool new parks...

We spent a fun, but hot and sweaty, afternoon at the Phoenix zoo with Uncle Tanner and cousin Roman
Its a good thing the Phoenix Zoo has a splash pad.
The kids cooled off in the water at the end of our day and then on the way out, Madden let this creepy centipede thing crawl on him.
Then we ended Madden's fall break as a family, going through the new Phoenix Temple open house followed up by lunch at La Grande Orange Pizzeria and then another fun park night.
