Spring Break 2017

We kicked off the boys' Spring Break with a fun family day at the pool!

The boys swam with daddy while I relaxed poolside cuz lets be honest, no one wants to see this pregnant lady in a swimsuit.

I told my boys we were gonna have a low key spring break since I'm massive and pregnant.

But we ended up doing a lot.

Cuz I'm such a sucker for all their fun spring break ideas.

And also because, YOLO!

Whenever the boys are on holiday from school, they always ask their Dad to drag their mattresses into the playroom to have brother sleepovers.

I kinda hate the clutter and mess it makes.

But I also kinda love how excited they get about something so simple.

Its sort of become a tradition.

(And yes, Beckett fell asleep with that mask on his face)

Madden's cousin Teigen came down to spend the first week of break with us.

These two have so much fun together despite their 5 year age difference.

And don't they look like twins from behind?? ;)

We saw Monster Trucks" at the dollar theater...

Cooled off with shaved ice at Bahama Bucks...

Played arcade games and ate Thrifty's ice cream cones at Water & Ice...

Spent the day at the Legoland Discovery Center...

Dad got the day off of work and came with us and Beckett declared it his "favwit day eva!"

Played more arcade games at Fat Cats...

Which was probably my "favwit day eva" because my 3 year old fell asleep in the car on the way there so I just sent Madden and Teigen in alone with some cash to play some games while I sat in the quiet air-conditioned car with an ice cold drink from The Soda Shop.

Slept in...

Grilled dinners in the backyard enjoyed lots of beautiful Arizona sunsets...

One night, while Randy took Teigen and Madden to Madden's golf lesson, I watched Beck play in the sprinklers in the backyard in his underwear.

Then we ate otter pops together on the back porch and he turned to me and said, "Mom, I am sooooo happy."

And then my heart melted faster than my popsicle.

Pizza party and night swim at Aunt Kelcie's apartment with all the cousins...

Krazy Air Trampoline Gym with cousins...

Went to the grand opening of the new Backyard Taco that opened right down the street from us...and it did not disappoint!

Had lots of outdoor playtime to soak up the amazing spring weather...

Beckett even got to tag along to one of Madden's golf lessons...

Checked out the new Urban Jungle with Taylor and her kids...which I got no pictures of, somehow, but the kids loved it and we will definitely be going back!

Played at Tumbleweed Park with our friends the Youngs...

I may have over done it just a bit cuz by the end of our 2 weeks of fun, I was having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions.

So when Monday rolled around, and Madden had ONE MORE DAY off of school, I was exhausted and starting to feel like this was the Spring Break that never ends!

And apparently Beckett was feeling the same way, because that morning as I cuddled my boys in bed and listened to them fight over which cartoon to watch, Beckett got right up in Madden's face and yelled at him to "GO BACK TO SCHOOL!"
