I know I said after the San Francisco Marathon that I couldn’t wait to run another one. And I meant it.
I was hoping to begin training this month for the Phoenix PF Changs Marathon, which is in January. But alas, I will be sitting this one out...Sorry Marianne :(
Here are my reasons why:
Top 10 Reasons why I am not running the Phoenix Marathon
10) I don’t fit into any of my running clothes anymore.
9) I am ridiculously tired and when my alarm goes off in the morning it seems humanly impossible at times to get my body out of bed just to eat breakfast, let alone to go running.
8) I have to pee every 5 minutes…which makes it difficult to run much more than half a mile.
7) I am starving and want to eat constantly…which also makes it difficult to run for long distances without stopping for a full meal along the way.
6) I don’t have much free time to train…I would much rather spend my free time sleeping or eating.
5) My boobs hurt and no amount of support from a sports bra seems to be enough to keep them from hurting when I run.
4) I don’t have the money it costs to run another marathon (yes they are expensive). I am trying to save my money up for something else a little more important…
3) My doctor has strongly discouraged me from training for another marathon right now…
2) My husband has also strongly discouraged me from training for another marathon right now…
And the #1 reason why I have decided NOT to run the Marathon in January…

I know it only looks like a little bean right now, but it is our little bean :) Our little one is due May 13th. There will be other races and other marathons in the future, and I would much rather put those off to start our little family. :)
Hopefully running my marathon immediately before getting pregnant will have turned out to be great training for soon running after a little one of our own… :)

B, I am so happy for you!!! I don't think I ever realized the amount of love your heart can feel for another person until now. I feel like my heart grew ten times it's normal size after I had Jase. I am so excited for you! I know you will be such a good mom.

Congrats you guys!!! That is so fun for you. ha ha...I was wondering if it was pregnancy when you said that you had been feeling sick in your "Waitress" post...but I didn't want to assume anything! ha ha...I know how it is when you mention any little thing about feeling sick when you are married and everyone just assumes that your are pregnant...but again, Congrats!!!

Natalie just told me your good news today!! I am so excited for you, being a mother is the best feeling in the entire world. Hope you are feeling well and that you don't get too sick in that first trimester:) It's SO worth it!
i think the reason you are not running is because during the s.f marathon you DID take a cup from the little devils and you are pissed you won't get to enjoy it this time around

it's jenni (hunt) burns and i just wanted to say congratulations! i have two little boys now and kids are the greatest (most of the time)!
Yeah!! That is SO exciting!! Congratulations!! I know the how it is for the first ultrasound when you just want them to tell you there really is a baby inside you and that everything is ok! I was super nervous because they couldn't hear the heartbeat so they sent us down for an ultrasound but everything turned out ok! I hope your pregnancy goes well!! Oh and I just had to laugh when you listed all those pregnancy symptoms because it brought back a lot of memories! Good luck!! :)
