I think one of the things I'll miss most about living in Chicago is our "first snow" traditions.
We always got bundled up, played in the snow, had hot cocoa and then that night we'd always make white chicken chili for dinner...Daddy's favorite!
So it was perfect that we just happened to be up in Snowflake when Arizona had its "first snow..."
November 10, 2012
We went up to Snowflake for Grandma Brimhall's birthday. All the grown-ups took Grandma out to dinner and a movie and the little kids stayed home with a sitter. When we came out of the theater after our movie, it was a beautiful winter wonderland outside!
We drove home and found the kids playing in the snow on the back deck, barefoot and eating the snow out of their bare hands :) Grandma made hot cocoa with almond joy creamer, and the next night we made white chicken chili for everybody.
A perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
Happy Birthday, Shari!
xoxo
