Pre-PreSchool

Now that big brother is back in school all day, my busy 2 1/2 year old is bored out of his mind and begging me to entertain him 24/7.  So when a few girlfriends in my neighborhood asked if I wanted to join their preschool co-op I said HELL YEAH!

Its the sweetest little group of 4 boys and us 4 moms rotate teaching each week.
Its only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 but its just perfect for these little guys who are just a tad too young for "real" preschool just yet.

Anytime we drop Madden off at school, Beckett says HE wants to go to school.  So I kept hyping up his first day of preschool and he was SO excited when the big day finally came...

Until he realized that we weren't in fact going anywhere because his mom was teaching the first week at our house...

Oops...sorry buddy, maybe next week when you get to go to someone else's house for preschool it will feel a little more exciting!

Week 1 we learned about colors.
I'm used to teaching kindergarteners who have about a 15-20 minute attention span.
But I quickly realized that these pre-preschoolers have about a 3 minute attention span.
So there was lots of snack and play breaks scattered in between learning about our colors...

These boys are gonna have a fun year together!
