Christmas in Snowflake 2016

Every year that we travel for Christmas, I swear its our last.
Well this one really was our last.
We had a hell of a time figuring out how to get the kids' Christmas presents up to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Snowflake.
And next year we will have a third kid with a whole other pile of presents!
So this year really was our last year traveling.
Swear!

We drove up to Snowflake Christmas Eve morning and there wasn't a drop of snow on our way up...
We were a little disappointed, since we were all hoping for a white Christmas.
But then, as if right on cue, that night, it snowed...and we got our white Christmas after all.

We also got a surprise visitor that night at Grandma and Grandpa's house...

SANTA!!!!!!!

Beckett's reaction was so funny...he was mesmerized when he saw Santa at the front door and he was so excited to tell us that SANTA was there!
But then when it came time to sit on Santa's lap, he acted nervous and uneasy about the whole thing and wouldn't hug Santa or talk to him or even crack a smile for a picture!
Then as soon as he was safe in my lap, watching Santa from a distance, he couldn't wipe the smile off his face!

Each of the kids took turns sitting on Santa's lap and they each got a present from him...and then he was off on his way...

After Santa left, we had our traditional Christmas Eve devotional where Grandma read the story of The Three Trees...

And then after our devotional, we had our annual cousins gift exchange and drank candy cane milkshakes by the Christmas Tree.

We tried to get these crazy kiddos to bed so that Santa could come, but I think they ended up staying awake past midnight!
They were too excited!
And these two ran around all night in their Santa hats, saying in a deep Santa voice, "ho ho ho, what you want fo Cwismas?"

Then when we FINALLY got the kids to sleep...
Santa came...

And on Christmas morning we had some pretty happy kiddos...

Beckett's big gift from Santa was a 4 wheeler and Madden's was an electric scooter.
The rest of Beckett's toys under the Christmas tree were mainly superhero related, which he was thrilled about...

And Madden's favorite present under the tree was his very own iPad mini...

After opening presents, we got ready for Church in our Christmas Sunday best...

I was miserably sick with a horrible cold, but there's no where else I would rather spend Christmas morning than at Church with my three favorite boys, celebrating the birth of our Savior.

Wishing all our loved ones, near and far, a very merry Christmas filled with love and laughter and happy memories!
xoxo
