Thanksgiving in Utah!

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend...especially considering the fact that all our plans changed about 48 hours before we left! We originally had plans to meet all of my family in Palm Springs to stay in a resort there and have a relaxing Thanksgiving in the sun, but just a few days before we were all leaving, my little sister Michele who lives in Utah went into pre-term labor 10 weeks early. Yikes! She gave us all quite a scare, but luckily everything with her and the baby is fine and she did not end up delivering the baby yet. But her doctor of course put her on bed rest and her and John were not going to be able to make it to Palm Springs. : ( We were all very sad because it is very rare that we ALL get to be together at one time and we have been planning this trip for months. Plus, we knew it would be one of the last times we were ALL together before my brother Tanner leaves on his mission. So my mom, being the amazing mother that she is, immediately got online and started changing everyones flights and booking hotels so that we could all fly to Utah instead to be with Michele and John there for Thanksgiving. I didn't think she would be able to pull it off only a few days before the busiest travel day of the year, but she did! We all stayed at the Grand America in Salt Lake City and had a wonderful time together! The Thanksgiving Buffet at the Grand America was incredible! Then we spent the rest of the weekend doing all kinds of fun stuff! All the girls had a fun spa day, getting massages and pedicures and then having afternoon tea and the all the boys went to the BYU/U of U game. We also went and saw the Christmas lights at Thanksgiving Pointe and had a little family Christmas gift exchange at Michele and John's. It was such a great weekend and I am so happy that we were able to all be together for Thanksgiving! Thanks Mom and Dad, for a wonderful weekend and for working all the plans out at the last minute and making it possible for us to all be there! It was perfect! : )

This was Alex's Thanksgiving dinner...M&M's and lollipops from the miniature kids buffet table! And this is the face she makes when you take a picture of her and ask her to give you a "pretty smile." : ) LOL

Alex and her baby doll that she got for Christmas from Aunt Tippy and Uncle Randy. : ) She loved it! She carried it with her everywhere. And the look on her face when she opened it was adorable! He eyes almost popped out of her head and with a huge smile on her face and in her cute little baby voice she just screamed, "BABY!" It was so cute! : )

This is what happens when my husband takes our picture... : )

Alex just loves playing dress up! She will put on anything she can get a hold of: Aunt Sheli's boots, Grandma's scarves, Aunt Tippy's hat...and once she's all dressed up she walks around the room telling everyone "Pwitty Awex!" (translation: Pretty Alex) : )

This was the best picture I could get of Noah with his Uncle Randy...Alex insisted on being in every picture. As soon as she sees a camera, she's over there in a flash, sticking her face in front of the camera and showing her "pretty smile" and screaming "CHEESE!" I love my niece and nephew so much! They are so cute! I miss them already! : )
