Every time I've run a marathon, I've always desperately wished for a ginormous ice-cold diet pepsi to be waiting at the finish line for me.
This time my wish came true :)
(Thanks Husband!)
I've also wished that I would stop setting these really high goal times for myself and then get pissed at myself for falling short of them and that I would just ENJOY the race and not pay attention to my time.
That wish came true too :)
Yesterday I officially got my worst marathon time ever.
But I had a smile on my face when I crossed the finish line and was totally ok with it.
It was hot.
Really hot.
My friend and running partner Ashley was injured.
And I really wanted to finish the race together.
So we did just that.
It was Ashley's very first marathon and she finished it with a serious foot/ankle injury and under extremely hot and less-than-ideal conditions!
I am so proud of her and happy for her!
Thanks for running with me, Ash!
Love you!
And Thanks Janelle and Nicole for surprising us and rushing out to the race straight from church just in time to watch us cross the finish line!
Can't wait to run my next marathon with both of you girls!
Next up...

You are amazing. So proud of you!! Can't believe you already have the next one scheduled. I'm getting left behind. :(
So glad you had fun!
If I ran a marathon I wouldn't look NEARLY as good as you do afterwards!! You're glowing! Maybe it's the Pepsi. Go girl!
Good job B! I'm so proud of you! and seriously you look great!
I wish I looked that good after I run! Scratch that... I wish I ran at all. ha!
how fun! congrats on the big run. its so much more fun to just run for the fun of it instead of competitively (which is sometimes hard). i did a half so i know about half the training and sacrifice you have made for this-great job!! it takes some dedication!
Amazing is seriously the only word that comes to mind! I am so proud of you B!
So glad you enjoyed yourself and had a great day - you're a true friend and it's wonderful that you've got great friends to be there for you too. Your dedication to running and training is something to be admired!
Way to go Tiff. I can't believe that you look like that after running a marathon. You rock!
