When I was Madden's age, my mom took me on a special trip to New England.
Now she's carrying on the tradition of one-on-one trips with all of her grandchildren...and it was Madden's turn!
What an awesome grandma, and what a lucky kid!
Each trip is tailored around that kid's specific interests and she tries to take them somewhere they've never been before.
Madden is really into science and animals and anytime we go to the library, he is always checking out books about sharks or rare sea animals.
My mom did some research and found out that the largest aquarium in the world was in Atlanta Georgia and its the only aquarium in the world that houses whale sharks.
Once she told Madden about it, he was sold!
So their trip was to Atlanta, Georgia....
And of course they hit up the Aquarium first...
My mom even got them behind-the-scences passes and he was able to have an up close encounter with a penguin!
On Day 2, they visited the Atlanta Zoo...
Day 3 was fun packed with a visit to the Botanical Gardens, a duck boat tour, miniature golf, and Stone Mountain...
And on their very last day, they visited the Beltline (kind of like the Highline in NYC), Centennial Park, and the Cocoa Cola Factory...
We sure missed Madden, but were glad he was having so much fun!
And loved getting picture updates from my mom the entire time.
I think its pretty clear from the pictures that he had a blast!
I'm pretty sure Madden is never gonna forget this trip to Atlanta Georgia with his Grandma Hunt.
It makes my heart happy to know that they made these memories together...
Thanks, Mom!
xoxo
