My First 10K!

Today I ran in my very first race ever! I was originally going to run a 5K for my first race, but when my girlfriend Marianne told me about a 10K she was doing, I decided to join her and skip the 5K and go straight for the 10K! And I LOVED it! : ) We ran the third annual London's Run in Queen Creek. (Marianne and I did the 10K and Marianne's husband Clint ran the half marathon.) London's Run benefits the Phoenix Children's Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and is held in honor of London Solomon, a six year old girl who lost the fight against Leukemia in 2005. We actually saw quite a few people there that we knew and it was really fun! My finishing time was 52 minutes and 12 seconds. Randy was waiting for me at the finish line to take pictures...but he said once we got there he actually wished he was running in it too! So I am trying to get him to run the next one with me... ; )

Waiting in the freezing cold for the race to begin : )

At the starting line...

Finally...crossing the finish line!

Yay Marianne!! You are AWESOME for completing a 10K while PREGO! I don't know if I could ever do that!! : )

I am so excited for you! I wish I would have been able to do it with you. I am proud of you, now I just need to get my butt in gear for the one in 3 weeks.

Oh yeah, we won't ever get sick of you. You can join us on all the trips if you want :)

Tiff, way to go. But I think you should consider eating more and running less, your going to shrivel up and blow away.

That is awesome! I am so jealous of all of you who did this. I know quite a few people who did this. I really wish I would get my butt up off my couch and workout but I have no motivation whatsoever. I need you to be my motivator. Way to go though:)
