ward halloween party

10 * 25 * 14

Can you tell who the most opinionated one in our family is??
I tried desperately to get Madden to do some kind of coordinating costume with Beckett.
Ya know, like Batman & Robin or Mario & Luigi.
But no.
Then I tried to get him to join in on the baseball family theme.
But no.
So I just let him do his own thing.

Even when "doing his own thing" meant putting one of his t-shirts over his trick-or-treating bucket cuz, he said, his "pumpkin wants to dress up too."
whatev.

Beckett never wears hats and he hates things on his head, so I tried out his baseball cap a few days beforehand to get him used to it...

So cute, right!?
I love that it has a BB on it, for Beck Brimhall

But then come the night of our ward halloween party, he was NOT having it...

He was pissed at me for putting the hat on him, pissed at me for drawing on his face, and pissed at me for taking a bunch of pictures.
He hates me.

So we wiped the paint off his face and by the time we got to the party, he had chilled out enough for me to at least put the hat back on.

Madden had a blast playing in the bounce houses, going through the haunted house, riding the hay ride around the block, playing carnival games and trick or treating the candy trail with all of his primary buddies.
So much so, that I could hardly keep up with him, which is why all of my pics are of Beckett at the party, while Madden ran off with his friends!
He came home with so much Halloween candy, I felt like Halloween was over.
But it was only beginning...
