valentine's day

The night before Madden's 1st grade valentines party, I helped him prep...he addressed all 30 of his classmates valentines while I pinterested the crap out of a minecraft valentine box that I was pretty damn proud of...

Then the next morning, Beckett woke up with a fever, so our weekend was pretty much shot.
Randy and I took turns staying at home with the sick baby and getting out of the house to run errands on Saturday.
That night, I had originally planned on a fun family Valentines date night of taking the kids out to dinner and to see Kung Fu Panda 3 in theaters.
But those plans were nixed.
So instead, I made the boys a special valentine dinner of heart shaped sandwiches and pink yogurt and strawberry milk.
For dessert we shared fancy chocolate covered strawberries.

Me and Randy ordered take out from Carabbas and tried to enjoy a fancy steak dinner that was interrupted by demands to wipe snotty noses and clean up spilled popcorn.
Then we attempted to watch a romantic chick flick in between carrying sick babies to bed and cleaning up throw up.
It was pretty romantic.

So basically, to sum up, I'll always remember this valentines day weekend.
And I mean that in the best way possible.
