this kid

Remember last year when Madden was awarded the prestigious "Super Shark" award at his school?

I just found out today that he has been selected again for the same award!

Only a few kids are selected by each teacher every year and this is his second year in a row winning it and I am SO proud of him!

But I ripped open the invitation to the awards assembly only to find out that the EXACT day and time he will be presented with his award is RIGHT when I will be having the baby next week. :(

I mean, literally, the EXACT time...his assembly starts at 7 am on Friday and my c-section is scheduled to start at 7 am on Friday.

Which means mom AND dad will have to miss it.

Luckily, my mom will be here to save the day and she can take him but why does it break my heart to miss it!?

I'm probably just being an overly dramatic, hormonal, crazy, 9-months-pregnant lady....

But man its hard to miss stuff like this for your kids!

And as we add one more kid to the mix, I'm sure there will be more things in the future that I have to miss, since I can't be everywhere at once.

I just want to be there to celebrate all of my kids successes and make sure that they know how loved they are and how proud I am of them.

And man do I love this kid!
